The track’s journey began in 2020, during the pandemic, when Benson wrote the initial version while living at a friend’s house. After letting the song rest for a few years, Benson moved to Sweden in 2022, where he produced the full EP before moving to London. The EP ‘Joys of Growth’ is a 4-track concept body of work that with each track adding further context to its overarching story, ‘On The Run’ acts as the second chapter in the tale.
